Succubus
Just something random that appeared to me. Somehow vaguely inspired by Heavy Metal comic book covers I saw as a child. Not by the actual covers, but the vague memory of those covers - the two of which might or might not have anything to do with each other.

Also, still practicing stuff on Houdini. The figure is a curious case, I was going for the same "real life sculpture" look when I sculpted it, but just a bit more subtle. But then it ended up being like this. So that's why the figure  has at times fairly harsh texture on her. Just remnants of the original idea that I didn't bother to try to "fix" or smooth out.

I also sort of had a magazine cover in my mind, hence the fairly obvious graphic design elements.

The figure also has a detail that I am very sad that no one will ever notice. Her legs actually are cut off halfway through her shins. The "foot" part is just that weird tentacle'ish footwear. If you look closely, you can see that you can see through where her foot/shin should be. It's a bit hard to see because of the reflections from the red light, and the black background...

I'll just revisit that idea in some other piece.

Sufferer
My first truly serious piece in Houdini. Ironically, uses almost none of the features Houdini is known for. But that's just what kind of art I do, I suppose. Matra does give out some really nice renders, though, once you wrap your head around it.

I wanted to switch, for various reasons out of Cinema4D, and did a fair bit of work with Modo and loved the rendering pipeline - but the program was much too unstable and slow for my purposes. Long story short, I tried Houdini at version 12, but it was much too opaque for me. But now I've decided to give it a real try. So I bought the Indie version (199 per year) of Houdini 15, and this is my first piece in it. It's nothing radical, because I wanted to see if I can make my usual stuff in Houdini.

It's a bit grittier, for various reasons, mostly because you can dynamically create/modify HDRI maps in Houdini in near-real time. That's really fucking cool. Also, the renderer in Houdini is much more prone to noise than Cinema4D's. And I've gotten a little bored of the very slick and colourful style I've drifted into. So I tried to be a bit more gritty.

Finally, unlike usually this is a pure 3D render. There's no digital painting involved at all.

P.S. Ignore the texture mapping artifacts, because I just don't care and didn't bother to fix them. This is really mostly just a test.

I'm an artist with natural inclination towards darker subjects, hence I ended up being an Horror artist. My love for surreal and weird has bled into my style lately and thus I would classify my artistic style as "Surreal Horror".

I currently use mostly 3D Sculpting as my main means of creating art, but I always use digital painting techniques to both texture the models and to add details and finishing touches to the final render.

In the future, I'm trying to combine 3D, Digital Painting and Natural mediums in to one cohesive workflow. Right now I am still lacking convenient means to slotting Acrylics/Gouache in to my workflow. But that's under the works.

I've been doing this since I was 15, so I've had some practice.

I do custom art, but very rarely. I mostly sell my art as "stock art" to people who want to use my pieces (non-exclusively). If you want a custom piece of art from me, be prepared to pay because I don't do custom pieces for cheap.
